3D modeling and sculpting are the ways of life in artistry

A 3D environment artist is a highly artistic and skilled professional who is responsible for creating immersive and realistic environments for video games, animations, and other digital media. They use their artistic skills to design and model 3D environments that are visually appealing and engaging for the audience This involves creating detailed 3D models, textures, and lighting that can be used to build the final environment. A 3D environment artist must have a strong understanding of color composition and perspective, as well as experience with 3D modeling software and game engines. They work closely with other artists and designers to ensure that the environment fits seamlessly into the overall project.


Psoaic is currently seeking a 3D environment artist to join our team. We are looking for someone who is about to create immersive environments and has a strong, keen eye to detail. As a 3D environment artist at Psoaic, you will collaboratively work with our team to bring our projects to life and create stunning visuals. Responsibilities
  • Sculpting and modelling art designs.

  • Digitally modelling and sculpting hi-res 3D models in Blender 3D, Autodesk Alias, 3D-Coat, Mudbox, Maya, ZBrush and other digital sculpting software.

  • Making clean, low-res computer and video game topology, UVs and textures.

  • Collaboratively working with animators to create 3D animations for environments.

  • Revising/updating and improving environment designs with the help of concept artists to make changes of respective environments.

  • Submitting and iterating design to work and have possible solutions for each problem in a quick manner than normally creating them.

  • Involving self-management and awareness of the important things that really needed and required those ones around you.

  • Usually generating artistic ideas and using 3D art designs to share information about their descriptions to the team members as a form of communication.

  • Putting 3D models into games that render 2.5D graphics with the help of 2D animators and artists.

  • Staying updated with industry trends and techniques.

  • Continually developing their skills and knowledge to produce high-quality work.

Qualifications
  • 4 or more years of experience in a creative and artistic field, such as drawing, designing, illustrating, painting, rotoscoping, digitizing, modelling, or sketching things for video games, TV shows, animated shorts, or movies.

  • A strong foundation and background in traditional art skills, such as modeling and sculpting, and design.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

  • The ability to artistically make characters in a range of styles with an emphasis on character designs that may be transitionally rendered from 2D to 3D.

  • Hard-surface modeling skills.

  • Inclusion of drawing, sketching, illustrating, painting, rotoscoping, digitizing and other traditional art skills.

  • Thorough knowledge of the detailed environments.

  • Various working skills to revise gears faster if necessarily required.

  • With the important use of your communication abilities, maturely and succinctly describing your work in a processing stage, and conversing information to team by yourself are allowed.

  • A baccalaureate or bachelor's degree in computer graphics, animation, rigging, filming, modelling, sculpting, texturing, or a related field.

  • Working knowledge and excellence of the following list of 3D computer graphics software you understandably mastered on:

    • Autodesk™ 3ds Max

    • Autodesk™ Maya

    • Blender 3D

    • Cinema 4D

    • DAZ Studio

    • Houdini

    • Metasequoia

    • ZBrush

  • Experience with the following game engines:
