Sound Designer

Design the sound effects to hear

Sound design or audio integration is an interesting part of the video game development. Sound designers/audio integrators responsibly make, download or purchase sound effects for planned multimedia projects, including records from behind-the-scene sources.


A sound designer is a highly skilled professional who creates and manipulates audio elements for various media projects, such as films, video games, and music. They use their technical and creative skills to design and implement sound effects, music, and dialogue that enhance the overall experience of the audience. A sound designer must have a deep understanding of sound theory, software, and hardware, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with other members of the production team.


As for a collaboration with each team of our company, under the title of Psoaic, we are looking for this kind of people who are skillfully experienced in audio integration to have necessary sound designs and effects for our interactive computer and video game projects, including animations and videos, and put them onto the visual effects, characters, props, and other objects so that we can hear the audios from them usefully.


All audio assets, ranged from sound effects to voice lines, can be done using the necessary audio editors and recording applications. You will collaboratively help us work with a handful group of skillful peers in making sound a powerful element in many kinds of our creative products, such as advertisements, animations, and computer and video games for certain platforms, from PC to consoles, including mobile game titles.


IMPORTANT NOTE: Make sure to include a reel with your software application that functionally adds in-game examples of your technological implementation and design. You can also outline your contributions to the project, and specific parts of the reel that are frequently used for highlighting the value you needed and included to a single piece.

Responsibilities
  • Identifying a variety of audio opportunities and other requirements of certain assets in commercial and promotional products in a self-driven or collaborative way.

  • Producing, conceptualizing, planning, recording and designing high-quality sound assets in accordance with the development and testing stages of a product release life cycle.

  • Integrating audio in various forms of both linearizing and interactivity with a product via the use of closed-source (proprietary/non-free) or open-source (free) software.

  • Managing all necessary audio assets (sound files, models, scripts, and a lot more) associated with a given product using the necessary application software that is either proprietary or open-source.

  • Collaborating with engineers and artists to understand and help make the sophisticatedly cutting-edge audio technologies developed.

  • Testing, debugging, and assuring the functional qualities of all audio assets in one product during development just before release.

Qualifications
  • A baccalaureate or bachelor's degree (equivalent in this case) in digital and analog audio production, audio engineering, or both.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • 4 or more years of experience in:

    • Production of professional quality sounds and all related technologies with audio functionalities.

    • Game engine audio implementation technologies as a part of computer and video game development.

    • Taking a video game or other type of media (movies and TV shows for example) as a linear equivalent from conception and development through the means of publication and shipment.

  • A keen ear for detail.

  • A deep understanding of music and sound design.

  • Skillful knowledge and excellence of the following titles of digital audio editor and recording application software:

    • Adobe Audition

    • Audacity

    • Bfxr

    • GoldWave

    • REAPER

    • Sound Forge
