Voice Director

Bringing characters to life through voice

A voice director is responsible for overseeing the voice acting aspects of a project, such as a film, show, or video game. They closely work with the director, writer, and other members of the creative team to ensure that the voice enhances the overall production. A voice director may also be responsible for casting voice actors, voiceover sessions, and providing feedback to voice actors to help them improve their performances. They must have a deep understanding of voice acting and performance, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills. A voice director must also be able to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines, as well as bringing out the best voice actors, and helping them create compelling and believable characters that enhance the overall production.

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing the voice acting aspects of a production.

  • Casting voice actors.

  • Directing voice acting sessions.

  • Providing feedback to voice actors to help them improve their performances.

  • Closely collaborating and working with the director and other members of the creative team in order to ensure that the voice the overall production.

  • Bringing out the best voice actors to help them create compelling and believable characters that enhance the overall production.

  • Maturely and succinctly describing your work in a processing stage with the important use of communication abilities.

  • Conversing information to team with the importance of communication skills.

Qualifications
  • 4 or more years of experience in:

    • Hearing voices of animated characters, narrators and the others in TV, web shows, movies and video games.

    • Practicing the performance of voiceover via acting, showing emotions with voiceovers.

    • Voicing characters, announcers, narrators or other additional voices as different voice roles, including reprisals.

  • A baccalaureate or bachelor's degree in voice performance, theater film, or a related field.

  • A deep understanding of voice acting and performance.

  • Experience in directing voice actors and providing feedback to help them improve their performances.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

  • Collaboratively working with other members of the creative team and voice actors.

  • A deep understanding of voice acting and performance lessons.

  • With the important use of your communication abilities, maturely and succinctly describing your work in a processing stage, and conversing information to team by yourself are allowed.

  • The ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Skillful knowledge and excellence of the following titles of digital audio editor and recording application software:

    • Adobe™ Audition

    • Audacity

    • GoldWave

    • REAPER

    • Sound Forge
